Bottle Mail going Out!

Aren't  "Messages in Bottles" Cool?

You bet they are!  So, you mean you can actually mail something like this in the mail???  Of course!  But to start off...you must HAVE  a bottle to send...and not a glass one.  You can purchase a nice plastic bottle that is about 7 1/2 inches  long,    Here  at my Etsy store, Lost Art Revived.
''

This is cute...it is a tiny glass bottle that I purchased from Michaels.  This can be used IN a box if you are sending someone a box of "Happy Mail" this would be a good thing to use.  It would not be good to mail "as is", because of it's composition being glass.

The next step in "Bottle Mail"  is to start gathering your supplies....

And more supplies...it gets a bit messy, but that is Okay! You are making a work of art, that is guaranteed to put a smile on the recipient's face and the Postal Clerk!      I make sure I put in plenty of sequins,  and glittery things.  Don't forget little pieces of wrapped gum...mini pom poms...mini  clothes pins --use your imagination, and what you have on hand.

Almost done.

I put a bit of Texas postage on this, but it will need more when I get to the post office.   Put your return label and your "Deliver to" label on  the bottle,  Now it is time to march on down to your town's post office.

I love my post office.  The postal clerk did not blink at all as she took my bottle, just asked me what shipping method I wanted...Priority Express : (guaranteed in 1 day)  $27.50  uhhh.  I don't think so.  Priority:  (guaranteed in 2 -3 days) $19.95 uhhhhh....again, I don't think so.  1st. class? (guaranteed in 3 days)  $2.70, uh, YES!!!!  And it comes with a tracking number!  So, cool.  I will be able to track my "bottle mail" as it is cast into the sea of the USPS postal waters!

Write Letters.
Write Often.
