The red heart opens up ...I put little candies in it for him...he must like them because I have to replenish it every day! I try to put something in it each day starting Feb. 1st until the big day...Feb. 14th. I have my "tool box" of goodies that I keep pretty well stocked. I usually shop for the items after the 14th when they are on sale.
I have also done the oatmeal boxes for mail with my children. It is a great project to do and really simple. Children LOVE to receive mail, even if it is just from each other. Here is a picture I found on the internet, but I think we will have to make another one of those ourselves!
What about you? Do you have an in-home mailbox? It is a sweet way to let others know you love them. Give it a try!
I love the idea for having one here ... I'll think about it and discuss it with my girls. Thanks for this idea!
ReplyDeleteI've mailed the little ones from Target at Valentine's & for birthdays (our mail carrier just laughs at some of my mail) but I love the idea of an in-home mailbox for messages to family members. I'm going to have to look into making an oatmeal box one.
