Incoming Autumn mail (late post)

My Happy Mail Box!

I am sorry to be so behind on posting incoming mail.  But here are two of my most recent.

This cute little Halloween Letter made it to me rather late because it was sent to my old address.
But, because we live in the most efficient  postal  country in the world...it was delivered to me after a little visit at my former home in the country.   Laura is a Pinterest folllower, and if my stats tell me ANYTHING....there are a lot of you out there! ;-)   Laura is a calligrapher...and her work is beautiful! Thank you so much, Laura, I will be writing you soon!

The beautiful autumn themed envelope was from my dear friend , Elaine!  She is one of my super talented card making whizzes!  I absolutely love to be on the receiving end of one of her beautiful cards.  She has recently started selling her cards locally at a local book shop.  She should do very well!

Postcrossing Is Alive And Well!

Post Crossing Happiness!!

Do you remember this from a few weeks ago?  I sent a "fistful" of postcards out to mainly Germany and Russia...  It ALWAYS pays off!

Here is some recent incoming Post Crossing activity in my mail box.  If you haven't tried Post Crossing  (https://www.postcrossing.com/) yet, check out their web site and give it a try.  It keeps your mail box happy.

I just love the cool international stamps, don't you?  I am partial to Japanese Stamps...but I love them all!

This  beautiful postcard didn't have much writing, but where it lacked in writing, it MORE than made up for it in gorgeous postage stamps!  I love the quaint little phrases in English.  I admire anyone trying to learn a new language--bravo!

You may receive more than a postcard from a postcrosser  like I did here.

In my Post Crossing  profile, I mention that I teach a geography class to young children, so I appreciated any cards that showed the landscape, or local landmarks.   I do take the cards in and share them with my class.  the children take turns locating the country and city on a map from the point of origin of the  postcard.

Because of this , the postcrosser sent a beautiful postcard of local foods of Taipei, Taiwan, along with pictures, scenes of the locality

and then a coin.  Such a lovely experience!  I plan on sending something back to this kind postcrosser.

Happy Snail Mailing...

Pam

Lonely Mailboxes

So you think you haven't had mail for awhile...

I don't know, but every time I see this little mailbox...I feel sad .  It has obviously been abandoned for some time.  Then I came up with the idea that this poor little mailbox needed a love letter .

This involved me doing something I have never done before with my letter writing.  I wrote a love letter to a complete stranger.  The concept is simple and you can read about it here at by just clicking the following link.

So, I got busy and started my love letter.

Spring had sprung from the time the first photo had been made of this mailbox...and now to my dismay, I noticed that it was overgrown with poison ivy for which I am horribly allergic.  I came prepared with  a small pair of clippers but no gloves  and cleared the way for someone to use the box...and yes, I now have poison ivy.

But this lonely mailbox is no longer lonely.  It has a letter in it for someone out there to find.  How about you .  Have you ever written a letter and left it for someone unknown to you?

Write Letters,
Write Often.

P.S.  This just came in from Dora of PeppyLady (see her comment below) the following is the link:

You need to go out and watch the video, short article too!  Amazing!
