Frugal Finds...Fabric Washi Tape!

Dollar Tree finds...

Have you seen these lovelies?  They are fabric decorative tape.  I found these at the Dollar Tree among their washi tape display.

Have you ever used the fabric tape?  I have not used these yet and could use a few tips.  Does it work just like  washi tape?  Can you move it about, or is it more unforgiving?  .  If you have used these before , could you please leave me a comment on how to best use?

Frugal Finds...Dollar Tree Score!

"Frugal Finds Round Up"

On my stationery buying round, I try to always make it to the Dollar Tree.  They usually have something up their sleeves!  Here are some cute  Eiffel Tower sticky notes and page flags that will be perfect for  my Kikki Planner...and of course , any planner.  I couldn't resist and got two.

I thought this little note book in a flap over purse style was cute.

I have been purchasing my ribbon here too.  They have sheer...sparkly sheer, sequins, and even silky ribbon.  I love the gold thin ribbon.  Perfect for parcels.

I have seen this at Dollar Tree for quite some time.  I will be using this on my vintage mailings.

If you do a fair amount of parceling like I do...then don't pass up the packing tape! (Wish they carried the cute printed packing tape!)

I love their cute colorful paper clips.  They carry two sizes.  These are the large, and they carry the smaller ones as well.

That ends my "Frugal Finds Round Up"or Dollar Tree. They haven't had any washi tape lately , boo!   Leave me a comment on what you find yourself snatching up at the Dollar Tree Stationery section!

Pink Overload...Begins!

Warning...lots of Pink coming your way.  I make no bones about it.  I am a sucker for pink.  So...I am always picking up "pink" supplies when I can find them.

Here are a few things I found at Dollar Tree on a recent trip ...lots of pinks and reds going on here.  Great frugal finds.

Are you making your Valentines, or buying them?

Stationery Scandals!!!

The Stationery Dilemma

Is it me?  Or am I just one of many who find it difficult to secure adequate stationery?  Most people in the letter writing community, when writing a letter, write more than a few lines.  We rather find ourselves  lost in the moment and just keep on writing our fine letter...more than the  requisite  "2 pages per envelope" stationery formula  which seems the current norm. This results in piles and piles of extra envelopes. I have often thought that I should rectify the situation by just making my own...and so I did.

I have started with a simple project that I have seen elsewhere.  It is a pretty common method for making stationery, perhaps you have seen it too?  I like it because it is simple yet, charming.

Don't you love the supply list?  3 items...pretty simple!  I chose some ivory 8 1/2 X 11 paper, a multi colored ink pad, and a package of foam pouncers.

I think the end results are cute!  Not much effort, yet a nice effect.

So, will there be any other stationery projects in the making?  I think so!  My next effort will involve some washi love.

Would you like to share any of your stationery- making photos?  If so, contact me by email at:  Lostartrevivedblog@gmail.com, and I will feature yours as well!

Don't forget to write me a letter for the weekly give away (see side column)!  Tomorrow I will be announcing this week's winner.

A friendship can weather most things and thrive in thin soil; but it needs a little mulch of letters and phone calls and small, silly presents every so often--just to save it from drying out completely.

Snail Mail Frugal Finds

Keep  A Look Out for these Frugal Finds!
'
'Tis the Season for Snail mailers to SMILE!!!!  So many items are readily available  at such a great value!  I  wanted to let you know  so that you too can build up your stash, but not break the bank!

I believe the above items were in Target's dollar bins.

My area Walmart  is  beginning to step up to the plate as well, offering  small craft items reasonably priced...

Dollar Tree Finds!  The adorable labels and oh, the black and white ones didn't make it into this shot....but they are just GREAT!  And look at the top label...the package contains 60 labels!  I grabbed bunches of these!  And then, they now always have  some washi tape available.  I usually get this for  my daughter who has her own stash!

Happy , creative, fun, enjoyable  and FRUGAL snail mailing!

How Did I Live Without these? and... Clean Desk Club

Do you like making new discoveries?  I do!  I just found this "Little B" washi tape for the first time.  I found it at AC Moore.  The packaging is really sweet in that it has a cutting tool in the cut out.  Just like a tape dispenser...clever!  The two in the middle  are so pretty.  The gold is all metallic, a nice thin strip.  The multi colored  also has metallic elements.

The picture does not do  the tape justice...the  tape here has beautiful jewel tones with a splash of metallic...so pretty when the light hits it.   I can't wait to use it.  Should it be called "Stain Glass Window"?

Here in Virginia, the leaves on the trees are beginning to morph into a dizzying array of spectacular colors...Oh, yes.  Virginia is Beautiful in the autumn!  Why not share the beauty by sending some fall colors in your mail?  I have been using these  leaves as enclosures  or "tuck ins" in the pages of my letters.  The packages on the left were purchased at the Dollar Tree (they look and feel so authentic...you would think they were real!)  The Spritz brand is from Target , more expensive, and not as nice as the cheaper  Dollar Tree find.

A nice touch !

And, I just thought I would send you a picture of one of my writing desks.  Haha...it had been a mess.  (According to the Side- Tracked Home Executives--remember that book?)   I am a "pile-er" not a "filer" until I am forced to !  Ugh, a trait I am not proud of.  So I am happy to report to you  that I am in the good graces, once again, of the "Clean Desk Club". Yay!  What about you?  Do you struggle to keep your desk  at the ready for letter writing?

Then there’s the joy of getting your desk clean, and knowing that all your letters are answered, and you can see the wood on it again.

Dollar Tree Finds...

Frugal Finds

I payed a  visit to our local Dollar Tree recently ... and as  is usually the matter of course,  I checked out the office supply section in hopes to validate a friend's claim (made several months ago) that her store was carrying *Washi tape!  I had been very disappointed  on previous trips so I wasn't really expecting anything on this trip... but lo and behold!

Washi finds....

I also found some great , clear , plastic zip envelopes.  I think I have some ideas for these--

Clear, plastic  zip envelopes

Tirzah and Chloe will enjoy this in the mail!  I still need to place postage on it and a few stickers... and some confetti for fun?

And lastly, I found these foam stickers for a dollar. They'll come in handy sooner or later.  I usually check for stickers as well.

Keep a look out for deals like these ... you never know when they are bound to show up!
